  • Provide regular updates to Hartford Juvenile Probation to reflect client progress
  • Facilitate CBT-intervention groups:
    • Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET) - a group for stress management
    • VOICES - a self-discovery group for adolescent females
    • MET/CBT (Motivational Interviewing - Enhanced Techniques - Cognitive-Based Therapeutic Interventions) - a group for substance abuse reduction

  • Completes intake, assessment, and referral of juveniles who have been arrested for violating any Federal or State law/s,  Municipal, or Local Ordinance law/s
  • Conducts in-depth interviews with juveniles, parents, educators, and social service agencies within the community
  • Monitors court ordered probation supervision conditions and services
  • Monitors and tests for substance use
  • Prepares pre-dispositional studies for the court and formulates appropriate dispositional alternatives
  • Maintains probation contact records and prepares status reports
  • Prepares detention hearings and initiates probation violations, in conjunction with the State's Attorney
  • Testifies at court hearings
